Wedding Night Offer which to choose

I booked 4 nights at sheraton meadowlands with starwoods points - seemed to be good deal I think only category 3 but I heard its nice  2 questions for the olam:

1.  Should I pay 28,000 points or pay 207.00 and 11,200 points - thats cash and points?

2. Any ideas for getting it cheaper or getting an upgraded room - they upped me to spg gold but I dont know if it would help

3. Any other suggestions, without signing up for more credit cards - my kallah won't let me

Contact the hotel and tell them it's your wedding night. Most hotels will give you an upgrade.

Thank you all for the suggestions - I just realized I should change my user name so when I discuss relatives in the future it won't be personal but I appreciate both the jokes and the sensitivity.

Regarding the hotel they told her on the phone that we can pay more for club room upgrade not sure what that is but suite sold out -pretty pathetic i admit they wouldn't give her that first night free
