Who said they were leftovers?

Leftover in the sense that you don't have any real need for them in one specific area. None of your 7 figure accounts are lacking yet, eh?

Accumulating faster than I can travel.  It's a good problem to have.

Sure is.
May that always be your biggest problem!

I've got 600K sitting around.
Seems foolish to just let them all sit there, but I just don't know what do to with 'em or how many to leave put.
Lately I have been transferring to Hyatt since there is virtually no other way to accumulate Hyatt points (CMIIW) and I can't wait to go back to the GHK :)
But with 600k, you should split it with UA imho

Yup, a split between UA and HGP seems like what I should do.
The other option being Korean for a Emirates F trip to the Maldives without blowing a ton of SPG.

You transferred them out of fear you'll get A/Ad?

I transferred them because there is very little to be gained by having them sit by Chase, so the risk of an A/A outweighed the benefit of keeping the points by Chase.

Am I going to stop churning like I have been doing over the past years out of fear of an A/A? No.
But I've taken the 800-pound gorilla out of the room.  If they do A/A me ch"v I'll still have Starwood to fall back on and won't have lost anything besides my credit limits.

Of course I'm afraid! I transferred all my 200k+ UR points to UA about 2 weeks ago. I just wonder if Dan is afraid.

Everyone is (or should be) aware that it can happen to them.  It can happen to anyone. And no it would not be fun to lose your points. Especially if you're at 600k.

Congrats on the xfer.

Better to use 210K UA on EK than 180K AA on EY? Worth 30K for the shower? ;)

1. UA is not a partner with EK.
2. EK A380 F>>>EY A340 F.
3. EY comes with 2 forced overnights in AUH.  EK has connections that work, nearly halving travel time.

Right, I meant UR.
I guess ">>>" is equal to or greater than 16.67% :)
That's the one that seems the most compelling.

Korean makes you book 2 separate tickets.
210K only gets you to DXB.
Add 35K/70K/105K to get to MLE.

It's fewer EK miles to fly on an EK F anytime award to MLE than it is to use Korean miles fly EK F on a saver award :P
Then again the DXB-MLE flight is only 4 hours, so 245K in F and then Y isn't terrible, though it is more than EK charges for F the whole way on a saver award.

Yikes, I overlooked the fact that you need another ticket from DXB to MLE.

So to get equivalent classes, you'd need 280,000 KE miles to fly F then J vs. 180,000 AA miles to F then J.

Is the lack of stopovers + EK A380 worth an additional fifty-six percent premium? Not IMHO, but then again, I don't have as many UR as you do...

You could have almost 5 nights in a category 6 Hyatt (like Hyatt MLE :)) ) instead!

Hence why I didn't transfer to KE.

So then after all that, how you gonna route MLE in Dec (if you go)?
