Wells Fargo starting to charge for checking accounts

Doesn't Chase have fees too? What do you gain with Chase? (besides for exclusives)

With a Chase Business account you get 3 more premiere accounts free

And to keep the business account free there are a few things, The easiest is prob to spend 1K on a Chase Business CC

I just called. When my Wachovia student account rolled into a Wells Fargo account they turned it into a Wells Fargo Essential Checking Account. At the time there was no difference between the 2, but with the new fee there is a difference only in regard to the fee.

They said if I go into a branch and show proof of enrollment in College they will switch it back over to a student (fee free) account.

Not true for existing accounts. Only for new accounts.

I'm a capital one user from northgork days and still I got the letter in the mail saying about the new changes

im in nyc and have an account with them since northfork days they call it now completely free checking

I got the free rewards checking  account in NYC, but if you open it today they'll charge ya a monthly service fee, if you opened the acc before the new fee, you still have it free.

i got the note in the mail saying they are changing my account to a reward checking account with a min balance of 300 daily to avoid a fee

I popped into a branch to switch over to a student account and they said you need to be 24 or under for that
