Yeh you can get the phone flashed. Why you would want to flash those specific models is strange though. What's wrong with the 8530 they sell??

I have a 9630 why would I want to buy another one? And when you say it works are you talking about the service or bis (blackberry native push email bbm etc.)?

there are places that will take a sprint phone and "flash" the software so it can be activated on boost. it will cost money to do this.

depends on who flashes it. i have seen places that do a complete flash so you will have bb service including bbm and pinning

Ebay and craiglist. I still say to just buy a curve 8530 specific to boost and save the hassle
