I agree with you, I was there just recently, I had to check it out first hand, (I will write a report BEZ"H when I'll have a little extra time), especially for a kosher traveler there isn't any big difference between FCT & FCL.

All I'll add, is think how ppl get into lounges when they don't have same day tickets. Mentioned numerous times on the forums.

So I'm flying Lufthansa with stopover in Frankfurt Germany. As mentioned, in order to get into the first class lounge you need a first class or business class ticket which I am not purchasing. Would purchasing another same day first class ticket work, even though I'm already checked in for the 2nd leg of my trip? Also, how long before scheduled flight can I cancel a refundable ticket for full refund with Lufthansa?

For all of you guys thinking of getting into the FCT by buying a refundable first class ticket/a different ticket for the same day/etc... DON'T DO IT.

The FCT is not a normal lounge; they cater exclusively to first class passengers, and as such, they provide a first class level of service. And part of that includes paying a LOT of attention to your ticket(s)/itinerary, to make sure that things work out for you, you don't miss any connections, etc. So if you play any sort of shtick like buying a refundable ticket, or a separate ticket from the one you actually plan on flying on, etc. they will catch on to your little game in about 10 seconds (or less). And even if they can't/don't/won't actually stop you, the potential for chillul Hashem is still HUGE - they will still KNOW that you are abusing the system. (As opposed to an "ordinary" lounge, where nobody pays attention to you once you're inside, and thus you can change or cancel your ticket freely without anybody noticing or caring.)

Oh, gimme a break. This kind of thing has been in the news, no need to to "refuse to explain it straight out":

I am still confused as to what is shareable and not.

I have never done this personally, just read about it. I assumed it would work in FCT, but as Mb eloquently stated it may not be so poshut...
