When I called FCT to order kosher food , I also asked for a car.
We parked at the building, and I received compensation for the trouble (also for the same meal twice on the plane, and the screen didn't work for the first half of the flight). They offered 10k miles plus $250, but I pushed them and got 30k plus $400!

Some notes from a recent trip to MUC on LH F.

I was escorted from check in to the FCL in JFK. From the FCL I was driven to make connection.

Incorrect.

FCT = gauranteed

FCL = YMMV depending on departure gate/stand.

FCL B lounge they will drive you, if you are not departing from a B gate. (Most international flights do not depart from B gates)

You can always very simply check beforehand which gate you are leaving from, and if it isnt B you can save yourself a 10-15 min walk, and the possibility of getting lost by just going to the B lounge, which is EXACTLY THE SAME as he FCT!!!

NOT exactly the same, no children play area, now I'm stuck with a bored toddler in FCL.

When flying first class NYC-FRA-TLV. with united miles, will I get access to the first class lounge if the FRA-TLV segment falls into business class? (There is no first class in that flight)

I'm clueless about lufthansa first.
Is there any major difference if in booking first on a A340 vs 747-8?

Also any difference if the stop is in FRA, vs Munich?

748 is much nicer

FRA has the First Class Terminal, but the walk is usually longer and shops inferior compared to MUC

Not really, main difference is car to the plane. Not sure if MUC has bedrooms but the FCT's aren't great either

I'm debating between Swiss business or lufthansa first. Since on lufthansa the FRA-TLV segment is economy seats. Vs on swiss it's lie flat.

No good answer, but keep in mind Swiss often downgrades to an A320 especially off season mid week.

Take Turkish if you can

MUC has indeed bedrooms.
In MUC they will drive you direct to the lounge, then you normally have to walk a very short walk to the next gate.
For a kosher observant traveler there's no difference except for the 'cigar lounge'

If i want kosher meal, do I need to call in advance? Or just ask at the lounge?
