Credit Card Retention Bonuses

blue cash everyday card? I have that card! so how do i transfer over my points.

(I dont mind not being able to use them now. when i want to, ill reopen a gold card)

Different cards.

One is cash rewards and one is MR rewards.

I just chatted with amex:

you: hi I have a gold MR card and an amex blue everyday card. can i transfer points from my gold card to the blue card

You can't transfer them to airlines with this card but the points accumulate until you get a card that allows transfers.
Similar to Freedom card and Sapphire Preferred.

I called for a retention offer/incentive on my AMEX PRG card and I was told by a retention supervisor that that I was not eligible for any retention offer since I received a retention offer back in December on my personal AMEX Platinum (a $200 credit statement).  She said cardholders are only eligible for one retention incentive every 13 months and that applies to all personal AMEX cards they have.  Anyone else hear this before?

Just spoke to amex. I have a Business Gold MR card coming up with an annual fee. Basically they said you can open a business blue card which does have  MR rewards without an annual fee and then transfer the points there. Or she mentioned that I can transfer the points to my existing SPG business card. Am I losing or gaining value if I just transfer it to  SPG?

IME, the MR points don't usually transfer to SPG on a 1:1 ratio. Did she give you a conversion/transfer rate?

Bottom line. I closed my gold card cuz they didnt offer me anything. I cant justify the $175 fee so im done with that.
