I'm trying to summarize success stories mentioned in this thread.
From @TC610
It never hurts to ask - retention is a big YMMV.  If you don't like the offer given to you when you call for retention, ask for a better one.  Scan through the thread (use the search bar - reading through 130+ pages of posts can be time consuming) to see what others have been offered. Please post what you've got if its better then whats in the WIKI

Ink Plus & Ink Bold aren't being offered anymore.
Yeah, right.  That's why I said "used to be..."  It started out as Ink Plus but over the last 3 years or so that I have it it just became a Chase Ink Visa business card.  It's not the preferred 'cuz that one is fairly new IINM.  The Visa logo says "Signature" if that helps.  In any case, my question remains, is there any benefit to downgrading to the no-fee Ink Cash or should I just close it.  I would rather spend the $95 down the road for an Ink Preferred and an 80K bonus.

The benefit to having the Cash is you still get 5x up to $25k & if you have the CSP or CSR you could transfer the points.

Ah yes, I see.  I just took a closer look at the "preferred" card and, right, it seems it only gives 3 point per $ at Internet, cable and phone services.  I didn't realize that.  Sorry.  So maybe I'd be better off as you say, downgrade to cash and apply for CSP or CSR.  But do those cards waive the AF for the first year?

CSP waives the AF first year, then $95. CSR is $450 & not waived first year. Keep in mind that CSP & CSR are subject to 5/24 rules.

$60 for CSP. seems like the new standard.

Nothing on CSR, UA, and Freedom.
