Interesting you got that. I've tried for myself and P2 but nothing was offered. Probably spent ~$5k this year to hit SUB. How much did you spend? The only option they offered was to downgrade to Reward+

How many Huca's should I be attempting for chase marriott boundless? They keep saying that they looked and they don't have any statement credits that they can offer at the time.

if you do the downgrade to Rewards+SM, is that considered "account closure" in terms of resetting the 24 month clock to getting a SUB on a card?

Think it depends on whether you get a new card number when you downgrade

I actually spent very little. On the other hand, I spent well over $100k on my prestige and got an offer for 20k with $12k spend

($4 k for 3 consecutive months)

It’s considered a closure according to Citi. You won’t get the bonus if it’s not 24 months since product change.

if downgrading premier to rewards+ is considered a closure, then my plan below will NOT work - correct?

whenever the annual fee hits on Premier, downgrade the card to no fee Rewards, and in another 15 months (24 months after receiving a SUB on premier) sign up for the premier card a 2nd time.
