everyone has their own made up set of ethics . Mine is low , but for some reason IIRC I never did it

I was making myself a table of when my annual fees are due... I called Citi to find out.... rep transferred me to other dep... didn't even threaten to cancel just wanted to know due date to think about it.... They offered $85 credit and 500 bonus points every month I spend over $500 for next 16 months

I just called AMEX to request a retention bonus on my SPG AMEX card when my annual fee came due. The CSR said she could find no information about such bonuses. Many DansDeals Forum posts indicate that people are getting bonuses of 2,000 to 7,000 SPG points. Can anyone offer suggestions as to what I can say to get the bonus?

Doesn't fall into category of cancelling but I recently got approved for SPG and I was promised my card would come by the 10th. It didn't come and I'm leaving town tomorrow.
So I called up and after 40 min and a manager, they said my card was sent out yesterday and they can't send out a new one till the 17th!
After some back and forth I got 2k points for courtesy

I by mistake got the us airways 30k offer with af and not the 40k without af for first year. I called twice. The second time she gave me 2500 points.
Not so bad for barclays

I called a bunch more times nothing doing. 2 sm still nothing. Sometimes you just got to give up
