Vayama cheap fare

Ok need some help,

Trying to get to TLV on a decent airline preferably StarAlliance from NYC/WAS area. Leave June 27th at night or June 28th during the day arrive no later than early friday morn and leave July 1 at night. So I'm not too flexible and the flights are expensive. Found on Vayama

PHL-EWR-TLV
June 28th at 1:25 connect to UA 84.
Return July 1 UA 91 connect to PHL.
Fare $1479

On UA.com the fare for this is over $2000. The direct EWR-TLV is also very high maybe $1800.

I'm a little uncomfortable with Vayama, I called them to see if they have any 24 cancel and the Indian rep could not tell me clearly the answer to my question nor show me on the website where it is stated, and I've read some horror stories about Vayama.

What do you guys think? Can I book on UA and then fare match to Vayama? Any other advice?

if u are so uncomfortable with vayamas cancellation policy why not just wait until you are sure that you want to go? then you will not need 24 hour policy

True, but after talking to them I'm umcomfortable with their whole setup, also read some pretty bad reviews about people who needed some help and got none. That's why i'm wondering about the fare match with UA, never done something like that, but would much rather buy from UA.

the connection on this flight in EWR is 1 1/2 hours do you guys think that's cutting it too close? Not much leeway for any delay PHL-EWR on USair.

Think the itinerary would earn EQM's? It seems to be a W fare code, not sure how to check that out.

I think your fine. 1.5 hours is your more than your average domestic layover. Plus if anything is delayed its gonna be a flight to TLV

Thanks guys, I went for it, never know until you try! United shows it as reserved but not yet ticketed, will see if there is any glitch in that part.

will I get two bags when I check in with US in PHL because of the Chase PP card? The fllight is bought from UA and its a codeshare PHL-EWR.  I should get them in TLV because that's a UA flight to begin the trip.

Ticketed with UA, shows miles will be earned, pleasantly surprised since no one had a fare that is even close on UA.

Any chance UA  would be willing to remove the PHL-EWR  portion?

Why not just use them call you link and ask.
They are very helpful when they can be.

Always good to ask your TA. many times he can match the rate (although not on this one)

I used the call me link, she was nice enough but all she would do was charge me 250 change fee and price difference which didnt interest me.  She told me I got a really good fare.
