Is QF generally bad?
Just that route, or just your flight?

+1 flew MEL-LAX on A380 and was my best trip to Aust. ever - had been flying UA  in the past, so I guess pretty much anything would  beat that - in coach anyway - haven't had the opportunity to reach higher yet.

Have flown Swiss many times this year TLV-ZRH-JFK/LAX...on board service/food is great...CS is also fantastic...all in all it's probably my airline of choice for that route...with *G hopefully I'll get to see the front half of the plane...

the meals were pretty good...from SFO-ZRH it was a weiss catering meal from NY and it was roast beef and a desert that was actually VERY good...the ones from ZRH are a bit better and i did notice that some passengers got grilled chicken breast others stir fry...i always thought you only had one choice...

all the domestic portions were great, but for some reason the flight attendants were just terrible on the long haul.

That kind of thing is just a crapshoot, can happen on any airline.  Had great FAs in CX F SFO-HKG and terrible ones HKG-YYZ.

Totally psyched.  2 seats just opened up in F on QF A380 from LAX-MEL and I decided to take the plunge.  Rest of the family will be back in Y so I guess my hubby and I will have to take turns.

To South America:
Delta - Pro: planes are nice,
Con: seats don't recline, hate they're service in JFK and in flight service isn't amazing.

TAM - overall a good airline, seats recline nicely.

LAN - Pro: very nice planes, seats recline, good in flight service, comparable to European airlines.
Con: A bit square, on the phone customer service doesn't exist.

AA - over all good, service is different every time, amazing to redeem miles.
Con: many times not nice planes, it's a American airline so no alcohol.

Was on a luhtzhanza flight recently it was so full ppl were standing in the aisles like on a bus.
The flight attendant got on the Pa , and said everyone find a seat we are leaving now , the plan went into the runway with ppl scrambling for seats
