Spirit Airlines 5000 Miles w/Donation of $5+ to Haiti Relief
« on: January 14, 2010, 03:49:42 PM »
Spirit Airlines is giving away 5,000 free miles (enough for a free flight!) to the first 200,000 members that have an active FREE SPIRIT account who donate $5 or more to one of three charities listed .

First go Here http://marketing.spiritair.com/haitirelief/ then follow the directions. You must have a spirit account (free to sign up). Click a link to one of three supported charities (American Red Cross, Yele Haiti, or Unicef), then take the verification code and fill out the form along with your name, spirit number, and which charity you donated to.

Offer is only good until January 17, 2010, or I guess until the first 200,000 people submit for the deal.

5,000 bonus miles is enough for 1 roundtrip off-peak award ticket for a member that has an active FREE SPIRIT MasterCard account. A 5,000 off-peak award ticket is roundtrip to a destination of less than 1,250 miles (one way) during specified off-peak period.

If you sign up for the card too, you will then have enough for 4 free off peak RT tickets

5000 miles are only enough for one round trip ticket to region 1 during non peak.

Anyone know how their availability is for award seats?
Thinking of getting their Mastercard.

I have no idea about availability, but there are very few off-peak dates.  I wonder how many of the off-peak dates are actually non-premium? Probably not many...and it requires their credit card to even get off-peak pricing.

Yay! The 5,000 points for Haiti posted.
 That's good for a free Round trip flight from NY to Florida during some months of the year.

<No referral offers, thanks.>

OMG! DON'T get their MasterCard! not worth it. they beat around the bush in all their advertisements. they say "3 free flights" when u get the onyx card. meanwhile they barely approve anyone for the onyx (rather just the plain silver) and u only get 5000 bonus points for your first purchase(instead of 15,000). there are sooo many restriction on this "free" flight that u'll prob never end up going. the card is only worth it if u want to be part of their 9 dollar club. and even then im not sure its worth it because their flights are always delayed and canceled left and right. consider yourself warned  :)

I signed up for it got 15,000 miles for doing so. I donated $5 as well which gave me another 5,000 leaving me with 20,000 miles. 20,000 miles = 4 off peak domestic flights. Thats worth $5 to me:)
