Yes! its so minimal and its at times when their flight cost about $40 for the same free flight. also, u have to call them up to book it. When i tried calling I was on the phone for 30 minutes with no answer so I hung up. Plus you have to book it 180 days in advance to avoid the fee. That is 6 months!!!

I agree with you that its a little crazy. But being that i spent $5 so far and i now have 20,000 miles, if it gets me something-great. If not, i lost a whole 5 bucks

I have a friend that booked bonus tickets on Delta within 21 days of travel, and I believe he also had to pay $75 just like Spirit. And between  21 days to 180 days it's only $15

Again if Spirit never has tickets for 5,000 miles the point is moot.
I have to hear of anyone actually flying on a 5K ticket.

You need to get out halfway, not sure but it was round 30,000 feet, if I remember correctly.

I know that the airline....., but if you got the 5000 for the Haiti relief, you might as well get another 5000 for free. (I guess it's for damage control.) You can even get a account now, and get the points.
