Just put it on hold until 11:59 pm tomorrow

if the reservstion is for more then 21 days later they can put it on hold for 5 days if you get a lucky agent

IME they always put on hold for 5 days, if it's later than 21 days.
Online (for AA bookings, don't know for BA since their ability to search) they'll also put it on hold for 5 days.
