  • Red Hills desert Garden 375 E. Red Hills Parkway, St. George, UT 84770  Small & Free. Nice stop to see various desert plants for 20-60 minutes
  • Fiesta Fun Center (Bowling, Lazer Tag, Batting Cages, Go Karts, Arcades, bumper boats). Mostly indoors.

  • River Tubing 771 W Sr 9; Virgin, Utah 84779 https://www.tubingzion.com/

In general alltrails.com is a good resource to find hiking trails that meet your interest (you can filter by length, difficulty, popularity, and review pictures and comments).

Zion National Park
--Fantastic hiking and waterfalls among magnificent red rocks scenery. Temperatures are usually substantially cooler than surrounding cities.
--Unique and popular trails include Angels landing (Hard), The Narrows (hike up a shallow creek in a narrow canyon, be aware of flashflood risks at certain times of year, or following rain), Canyon overlook trail (right after the tunnel along the right artery) among many others stunning hikes.
--There is also stunningly beautiful scenic drives both along the main road (only via shuttle in the summer) and the right artery (via your own vehicle), and there are also bike and e-bike rentals in Springdale UT (near the main entrance to the park).
--There are trails that are only accessible via other entrances (Kolob)
--The average visitor will likely get most of the beauty of the park in 1-2 days
--PDF map of Zion National Park is at https://www.nps.gov/zion/planyourvisit/upload/ZionUnigrid.pdf

Bryce National Park
--Bryce is a relatively small national park, but a geological wonder, with uniquely colored rocks and hoo-doos (stone pillars formed by repeated freezing/melting).
--The visitor center has a 25 minute video playing every 30 minutes for some background on the uniqueness of the park.
--There are a variety of stunning scenic viewpoints right off the main road (you can take a shuttle or your car), that give you a lay of the land and provide stunning photography opportunities.
--There are a variety of trails along the rim, and many hikes that descend into the basin where you can see the unique structures up close.
--The beauty of the park shines even more around sunrise/sunset.
--Bryce is also a "dark sky park" (particularly good place to view stars on a clear night).
--The average visitor will likely get most of the beauty of the park in 1 day
--PDF map of Bryce National Park is at https://www.nps.gov/brca/planyourvisit/upload/Newspaper-for-Web.jpg

Has antibody been to the new Kosher Restaurant in park city? It's in the same resort complex (canyons resorts) as the Waldorf
Also does anyone have any ideas how to get the Waldorf for cheap or any of the other hotels in that complex,  as I'm thinking of going for Shabbos and they have a eruv and stuff
It's a great restaurant! Same area as the Waldorf but it is still a couple of minutes walking. Which Shabbos do you want to go?

Waldorf will be expensive then. Do you have Hilton points? I think it is 50k a night. Do you want luxury (and the higher costs associated with the high end places) or just a nice place to stay?

Yes and the Grand Summit
They are both nice, however they do not compare to the WA. Another option is the Sundial lodge which is similar to the Silverado and Grand Summit but can sometimes be pretty cheap. If you call them they will give you the best rates.

The day you land they are cheaper if you show a plane ticket. This is only for the first day of course. Then you can sometimes get a package deal with the room. Another option is to buy season tickets, which was worth it for most of my family. Ski or board?

I've been skiing for many years and I started boarding 2 seasons ago so I'm kind of a switch hitter but I'm still not great at boarding yet so when I go to a smaller place I like to board but when I go to a bigger/better place eg. Park cIty I'll probably wanna ski   - if it's a lot cheaper maybe I'll print up some refundable boarding passes

If you're a hiker do Angel's Landing at Zion National Park. It's kinda strenuous, but it's worth every bit of effort! I've been vacationing in that area (Colorado Utah Arizona)every summer for a few years & this is on of the most breathtakingly beautiful hiking trails out there!

Anyone know if Shaarei Tefila @ 450 S 900 E, Salt Lake City is still around? Or is chabad the only Orthodox Shul in Salt Lake City? The former is much closer to the Sheraton.
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

Go to the old town in Park city and just hang around. It is a cute little town.

Horseback riding in Bryce doesn't open until April. Is the horseback riding in Zion anything special? Any other ideas?

Well ATV'ing in the parks isn't allowed so unless you're talking about doing it outside the parks that's out. The best place to do national parks research online is TripAdvisor. Also highly recommended is Fodor's travel guide to the parks it's very comprehensive and pretty much covers it all. Just keep in mind it's quite cold now in both of those parks and so some of the good hikes will be out.
