Hertz Points for Weekends

Can anyone advise me...Hertz advertises 500 points per weekend day, 1000 per 2 days, but 2000 up to 4 days. I only need 3 days and they want to use 1900 of my points + $37.  I have 1983 points. First, does that make sense?  Shouldn't I only have to pay 1500 points for 3 days?  Is there anyone to speak to there? Second, is there any way I can transfer points from any of my visa or amex or starwood points for the 17 points I need in case they insist on 2000 points?  Please respond quickly cause I need the car next week. Thanks

You can buy for .20 a point from hertz. Btw it may be worth checking the weekend rate with the 10 off a day coupon. There is a good chance that the points are worth more than your getting.
