I'm offering both CarFax and AutoCheck report for a $5 giftcard. You need the license plate number. I've seen cars come back clean on the CarFax but not on AutoCheck.

Or I can give a deal on multiple reports.

Why do you need the plate? Why not VIN?

CarFax gives more license plate checks.

I don't know any tricks for that. If you see the car, write down the plate, or ask the seller for the plate.

If you can't get the plate, then pay someone for a VIN check, but that is usually $10.
