You should probably say exactly that. I'd imagine that most people are only selling carfax reports because they needed to buy one & they figured they could recoup some of the $40 by shelling out an extra $10 for 4(?) extra reports. If they had known about the Craigslist route, they would probably go for it.

Am I missing something? What do Carfax or Autocheck do that motosnoop.com doesn't? Motosnoop.com gives you the same information (I think - correct me if I'm wrong) for free!

Here's a Carfax report. Compare the VIN on Motosnoop. Many dealers offer free Carfax reports for all of their listed used cars. Seek, and thou shall find many more.
