Anyone confirmed re YQ on AF when using KE miles?

It seems like they just pass on the YQ of the paid ticket if there is one.

Using miles its a couple hundred dollars...

You mean from another program? If there's United saver availability you should be able to redeem any StarAlliance points for that award ticket.
