I heard that on SELECT routes ANA doesn't charge YQ when using AC. That's what I asked earlier in the thread. Are there any other partners besides UA and US that ANA doesn't slam with YQ?

AS is your best option ex-USA, besides JFK-MXP which would make sense to book with EK themselves.

You sure?
I think I read (Boarding area) that Alaska and JAL don't charge.

Though not sure, that's why I asked.

Thanks meshugener for quoting Meir, missed his post.

I didn't bother checking EK themselves because USA-DXB they charge a nasty amount of miles + YQ. I am actually looking JFK-MXP.

meshugener, great availability, at least on my dates (2 weeks from now)

Also JAL had availability in F where AS didn't.

It seems that JAL doesn't charge YQ if the partner does not charge YQ on revenue fares. So, ITA claims that they don't. Now 100K RT in F with no YQ is a great price. (sounds like it takes 7 days for SPG to transfer :()

But EK DOES charge YQ.

Funny, most times you can find availability on EK an JAL but not on AS, even ex-USA.

You sure?
Thought they started charging YQ.
How often do you see EK F availability on AS for the JFK-MXP route?
Where do you see that he wanted EK F.

He was asking in general.

But EK DOES charge YQ.
But 90k + $400 YQ (EK J) is better than $150k AS.
