I don't wanna go off topic. But, COME ONE, COME ONE

You just wrote "don't ask if I will have problems with Tefilin" that is exactly what I AM NOT asking. I am not asking if AUH-DXB is a safe airport, I am not asking if I can bring in bring in meat, I am not even asking if there is a Chabad in MLE, for all these questions I took my time and I read through a big part of this thread, I use google.com and I got all my answers.

My question does not compare to the above mentioned question. Sure AJK got annoyed when someone asked for the tenth time if EK is a safe airline. But my question is not at all the same category. What is this thread made for?

The end. :) and thanks for your TR!

Stop screwing around and book the Halaveli already, or I WILL smack you. 😡
Looks like the Halaveli quote was excluding $1,040 for the transfers.

Halaveli is 3.5k without seaplane. Is this not as nice as the Halaveli? Online it's more expensive than the Halaveli. (About $1,000 p/ night plus taxes fees and boat transfer)
Changed your mind?
pool and nice Villa plus good deal is more important than seaplane.
Looks like the Halaveli quote was excluding $1,040 for the transfers.
Yep.

Now can someone tell me his opinion on the above resort?  ::)

The Halaveli has multiple confirmed reports here on DDF of being absolutely out of this world. The Anantara is completely unknown, plus has the potential disadvantage of being close enough to Malé (as evidenced by the speedboat transfer instead of seaplane) to be subject to sound pollution from planes taking off and landing all day. Are you really gonna fly all the way down there, and pay a ton of money, but take a chance with the Anantara just to save 600 bucks?!

Was just thinking of this place because its $6,00 cheaper PLUS it may be nicer. Its thier newest villas. (Its bigger than the Halaveli as well)

1 issue I read on TA is that its 8 kilometers from the garbage island... so you have to make sure that your villa is overlooking the other side..

Would I be crazy to try and take frozen food from NYC to MLE? Is 24 hours way too long and it will definitely go bad?

Should be fine, provided you have the right cooler and your routing isn't insane.

In a cooler it will be fine as long as it's been frozen for a few days.

It seems that they have 4 places https://secure.anantara.com/?country=MD&checkin=10/11/2014&nights=2&rooms=1&adults=2&source=device&language=en

Regardless, I was talking about the Veli one. The Deluxe Overwater Pool Bungalow.  http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g3612469-d1024787-Reviews-Anantara_Veli_Resort_Spa-Veligandu.html

Between Viceroy and Halaveli what would be a better choice? The total cost including seaplane transfers for Halaveli is $4,696 and for Viceroy is $4,480.

Is one of these more private than the other?
