Wow just got back from the Hyatt . INCREDIBLE!!!!! 70k UA to fly Turkish in J. Used 2x 2 free night Hyatt certs and paid close to 600$ per night for the OWB upgrade. Holy moley was it incredible. Best service I've ever had. So personalized. Words can't even describe. saw sharks, cuttlefish, sea turtles, dolphins, and an array of other fish near the house reef and also on dives. Wow. Just wow.
Is it the off season now? How was the weather? What did you do for food?

If you paid 600 dollar for the upgrade per night, that's very much
I would say that's 800 a night if you value the used free night. For a Standart owv without pools, no mezie

YOLO, how many times are you going to go to such a nice place as the Maldives?
There are countless places just as nice if not nicer. (Assuming your referring to the nature part)

Was it worth the extra money for the OWB every night?

How was food?

Worth *every* penny. I mean - we saw the OWB in the pics and we thought it looked cool. But there's no picture that can describe the feeling of sleeping in an OWB. The sounds, your senses everything! Also, it's really cool that you can just slip out of your room and into this oasis. We literally woke up and walked outside to the sound of dolphins. Incredible.

As for the food: *disclaimer we don't eat kosher... It was pretty good. The options become sort of limited at the one restaurant. I am a big foodie, so it takes a lot to really wow me. We never ended up trying breakfast cuz we were diving. The best food was hands down the 5 course private dinner. It was fun and romantic but expensive - but it was fun to splurge. I think I read for people who shomer kashrut that they can heat up your food for you for like $15/day.

As for pics, we have so many haven't had a chance to go through them all. Most of our pics on the resort look incredible - too good to be true, but it looks pretty much like in pics online. We took a professional photographer to dive with us. The pictures are pretty incredible but I am slightly disappointed they don't have a red filter.

Would like to know what people think.

Planning on staying at the Conrad for five nights. Should i use all points and get 5th night free, or mix two free nights and three point nights?

I have enough points to cover the five nights and can use the free nights at a different hotel when i am not staying five nights.

I understand the Maldives is an expensive vacation, just trying to gauge it. After everything how much do people usually end up paying total out of pocket?

The biggest variable is the OWB, since that can be prohibitive.
