What makes them decide the category of the hotel ? I can't wrap my brains around the idea, that the PH Maldives is less points then the PH NYC.

Either REVPAR or ADR.

I've heard they get dragged down there due to heavily discounted packages marketed to the Chinese market.

That would directly affect the REVPAR

Revenue Per Available Room is a hotel industry financial metric calculated by multiplying the Average Daily Rate by the percentage occupancy. RevPAR can also be calculated by dividing the total room revenue in a given period (excluding discounts, sales tax and meals) by the number of available rooms in the same period.

If you fly with BA you will almost always (besides for LAN) be given lots of fuel surcharges even on award tickets.

What would be the most cost efficient route to take mileage wise to MLE from nyc, while stopping over on the way, or the way back ?

Seems like the PH is now 25,000 a night again. Glitch or did it go down in category?

I see that's for a park villa, is there anyway to upgrade that to the pool or water villa?
