This looks like great deal.

Unusually good multi-day rate. Note this is just the room rate+breakfast. You will need to arrange and pay the usual resort transfer cost to the island.

Herathera Island Resort on the southern tip of Maldives. Gan Airport is a 20-minute speedboat ride.

Room: Sunset Beach Villa with Breakfast.

Doesn't seem like they have any OWB's.

Agreed.

Are you gonna stay at this place now part of your trip instead of just the Conrad?  Looking forward to your TR in a couple weeks and info on the hotel since others usually stay elsewhere.

So exciting.  I'm sure it will be amazing.  Did you check if they offer kosher meals from Australia like the PH?  Or have a kosher wine list?

I plan on bringing my own food so haven't looked at other options. Traveling without our kid frees up space to bring a cooler of food and still travel light.

That makes sense.  Are you going to ask them to heat it up, or you're just taking care of all of it?  We're going to most likely bring food also but I'd like them to heat and store it.

I'll give them the bag of food with heating instructions and a daily menu. This way I can just call up and order the food with them actually knowing what to bring me.

For anyone that has stayed at the PH, when you gave them your cc to charge the local Maldivian Air flight, what did the charge come through as? From the Hyatt or Maldivian? Trying to decide which card to give them (want to know if I'll get 3ppd if I give them my Hyatt card).

Not sure if mentioned, but I am paying for the Seaplane at the hotel and not prior to the trip.

I did this (at PH). I actually bought Hyatt certs beforehand at 10% off and used that. Just confirm with them before you buy them tho.

I'll be at the Conrad, but will inquire about that. Pretty good idea to use certificates.

How long ago was this? They told me that I needed to give them all the passport info and credit card at least 30 days before I'm arriving and that they'll be charging the card then.

Jan 2015. They also told me that originally but I said I had some certs and wanted to know if I'd be able to use it for the flights + owb and they said sure.

Got it. So then I guess the charge would go through as a Hyatt charge.

Yeah or make sure to use your Citi Reserve or Amex Surpass to get the extra 10 or 12ppd, to at least get something back on that extra $1000 expense.  Another thing to add to your TR! ;) Whether they billed the seaplane as a Hilton expense (although I may have seen on FT that someone said they didn't for the flight and also the diving and other excursions, but they may have referring to whether you can get HHonors points for those as part of the stay, not whether they are billed as part from Hilton, where you can still get HHonors cc points).

Might different for me because they rolled it all together when I used the certs - not sure how it normally works. I used my SP for the balance and it showed up as "PARK HYATT MALDIVES HADAH HADAHAA"
