It has seemingly zero to offer if weather isn't good, so if there's a chance of it not working out and your nervous then I can imagine its smarter to go a different time

It seems like though that even in monsoon season the weather really varies and usually doesn't rain non-stop for days (although obviously you're always taking a chance).

Is that specific to MLE or is that your overall feeling towards any international location that offers a Conrad (in that it trumps a PH)?

I think with these properties specifically, the Conrad is so much better.  It is bigger with multiple islands, much easier to get to after you arrive in MLE and ALL OWB have private pools or jacuzzis.

Wow not cheap per night transferring from MR?, I have allot of Amex MR and Chase UR,  wonder if its worth conrad or Park Hyatt?!
If you do want to go to the Conrad it's definitely worth getting a Hilton Citi Reserve card and using their two free night certificates too.

I went in August and had 3 straight days of rain and did not see the sun until the 4th day

There were people who had arrived a week before us and said that they did not see any sun

Wow, that's nuts.  I read literally the whole FT Conrad Maldives thread and the people seemed to say they had rain but it was intermittent.  How long was trip there? Did you still feel it was worthwhile?  We are booked with flights to go in early September so we'll see how it goes.

You're better off going to Bora Bora in the summer

Were you at PH?  I understand the weather is extremely local so one island can be beautiful and another one pouring.  Although obviously the odds are much better for everyone in the dry season?

Thanks, now im reading up more and more on the MLE Conrad, seems like a way  better option but abit more pricier but definitely worth it.

Not too big a deal to get HH, especially with the Surpass being 6x at grocery stores.

Found this site - while no guarantees, it does appear that you can get your share of sun and good weather even in July and August...

http://www.holidaysplease.co.uk/holidays/maldives-holidays/maldives/weather/

I think I'm gonna go for it seeing that getting babysitting any other time during the year is difficult...

Is there anyway to confirm an OWB in advance at the PH?
