I think I'm paying ~$260 a night for the water villa.

Then according the prices on the Wiki that's actually a great deal for the high season.  Are you there already or still en-route?

I haven't seen anything of BOB/MLE caliber in the Western Hemisphere.

OTOH, plenty of amazing beach houses to rent in the Western Hemisphere.

I had no idea these existed and I'm still doing my Maldives trip but here are some in Panama (maybe we'll add a few days here to the Panama trip we're are planning next Mid-winter and just cut-out the return stopover in Cancun).  Here's the link and it's a cool website in general:

Those are all still in the South Pacific and Maldives but great for figuring out points only stays.

very hard to compare. Maybe he isnt only going for the beach house?? Plenty of unique things in Malidves besides OWB

I have PH booked for next month for 3 nights.

Thinking about switching to the Conrad, I have 165k HH in my account now and will need to transfer 60k TYP (promo 1:2) to make the stay (95k X 3 = 285k)

What do you have reserved with the conrad? Beach Villa? Are you going to upgrade to OWB?.
