I don't have SPG bookings but like I've said before, I'm happy to book people into the Conrad for 30k SPG and you can transfer me the points. I just did it for a DDF'er who is going in a few days. Conrad was totally cool with him as my "additional guest" and giving diamond benefits. I made sure the awesome chef who'll cook kosher food would be there and expecting them and confirmed the OWV upgrade, which was less than $300 a night during peak Jan. Season. The seaplane transfer is less than S. Regis also.

What does the Conrad go for usually?

The $750/ night that they are offering books into an OWV (I'm assuming but considering the amount of times Dan has said it's not worth it to go unless you're getting OWV...). That being said, you are offering a stay at the Conrad for 30,000 SPG/night vs. pay $450/night (difference) at the St. Regis. And Seaplane difference is about $125 per passenger. We aren't sure of the platinum status benefits yet at St. Regis. Seems like a weak deal, unless someone really doesn't have the extra $2,000 and reallyyyyyy wants to go to the Maldives.

Denverrite said 30k spg +$300 for OW/night.

The mathematical difference between the two is 30k spg = $450/night

The other differences between the two are the hotels and everything the have to offer. But purely math, thats what it works out to be. Unless Denverrite is swallowing the $300 for OWV, which didnt seem to be the case from his post.

Few dates Dan and AJK are selling. We're not offering the same "good." I TOTALLY agree you should buy from them IF you can go on one of their dates (not trying to take business or "compete" with anyone) but they can't book anymore at those rates and I can book almost any date. I'm just offering another option for DDFers that want to go on other dates, don't have HHonors and would rather use SPG points instead of money. Another guy asked me how much money I'd charge to book him at the Conrad (bc no one had SR for the dates he needed) and I told him, if he's willing to pay for the whole thing he's much better off to pay elsewhere.

It REALLY depends on the season, for the Jan. Dates I booked, an OWV, including tax and service was $1457, so that 30k SPG got him about $1200 off a night, I think it was a "good redemption"

BUT for example, week after Pesach, you can pre-pay an OWV at the Conrad, including tax and fees, for only $775 and with HHonors and CC earn back for sure at least 100-150k HHonors and if every penny isn't tight, you'd totally better to book and pay directly...
