I think 4 or 5 nights is probably sufficient.  The remoteness can get to you after a while. 

We were at CON for 5 nights - that was the perfect length for us... I was ready to go...

Dont forget, most times the day you arrive or leave are almost half gone, so 7 days is nice...
It also depends how much money you willing to spend on activities. If you do 2-3 a day, then you could do 2 weeks
We were NOT ready to leave after 5 days

Give them to the hotel to put in freezer and to heat up for you. Depending on where you stay, they may or may not charge you. STR didnt charge me

Edit : Do you mean the airport?!?
