There are private transfer boats that cost a lot less then what the hotels charge. You can pre-book your transfer in advance and advise the hotel of your arrival time.
I have read in the few places that the hotels only allow arrivals from their own pre-arranged transfers.

You have experience with successfully arranging your own?

I don't see how they can stop you from showing up on your own if you have a confirmed reservation. That would be like forcing you to buy sunscreen for $60 instead of bringing your own.

In any case write to them and tell them you are booking your own transfer and see what they say.

I understand the logic, trust me  :)

Pretty sure it's been discussed here at length

IIMN I believe that hotels like STR include transfers in their resort fees not matter what, but I could be wrong

Please post any information you have on reliable transfers. I'll ask WA if they allow private transfers

they don't allow. And will deny check in if you try.

I tried using atoll transfer and almost booked but the WA would not allow it

Does anyone have upcoming travel to MLE and are planning on going via UAE? I'm trying to understand the quarantine/testing rules that DXB & AUH currently have in place.

Do you plan on staying there or just transiting through? If itís just transit you need a test 72 hours before flying to AUH/DXB. The rules were laid out pretty nicely on Etihad when I was considering flying them back.

I'm looking to travel to DXB/AUH en route to MLE, stopover is approximately 36 hours.

Based on what I'm seeing online as it stands today, in order to enter UAE flying into DXB is a lot easier, will just need to prove a negative test that was done within 96 hours of departure. However, to drive from DXB to AUH I will need to show a negative test done within 48 hours. It also seems I will still need to quarantine and wear a tracking device even with the negative test.

Alternatively, I can just stay it DXB for the duration of 36 hours and just enter AUH in time for the flight. I am unable to find information online regarding entering AUH for a short period of time just to catch a flight.

I'm not sure I'm understanding the rules correctly, this is what's mentioned on EK & EY websites.

Definitely sounds like a complicated situation. Wouldnít even be sure the airlines would have the answer. I believe I read that you can get a free test while in Dubai or AUH prior to your flight.

Have you looked to try to route yourself through DOH instead of UAE?
