Anyone been to st Regis Maldives and utilized their kosher option? How was the kosher food prep? What spices, oils etc.. Did they use? How were u on top of the situation to ensure that everything was 100% kosher?

Dp: I booked someone a room @ the new Hyatt Alila, it looks very solid and apparently very accommodating with kosher. He got a free upgrade to an Overwater Room.

Absolutely everything. Offered Freezer, heating up meals, new dishes for everything, offered to make breakfast on new pans. All free of charge. They have a few employees dedicated to learning about kosher. The chef is fairly knowledgeable, he even bought loads of meat from Dubai sealed with hechsher. They are very aware of the situation and eager to accommodate kosher guests.

so for a first timer, which hotel is best overall- kosher, service, rooms, privacy etc... ? I already have Conrad booked for 3 nights but i just checked the St regis and the Hyatt Alila and they both have availability.

On a separate note, I booked my flight with Premium from the deal posted yesterday on DDMS . should i keep the flight or cancel and hope business availability will open on AC? flight is in Nov.

I took the 2 seater on first row for the long flight which would give me even more space but the short flight is regular economy which im not so happy about.

SR > Conrad, and is one the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in.

Also, since its MLE and not BOB, I'd trash the PE flights and gamble for J opening.

When booking a trip to MLE, is it better to start with hotel dates and find flights that'll work? Or rather, find flights that work and be flexible on the hotel? I've yet to find the perfect dates for flights and hotel.

I guess it depends what's more important. The trip or the destination.

That's what I'm thinking. I currently have EY F flights and booked the Conrad. Was debating if worthwhile to change dates to book a better hotel.
