You won't need full body wetsuit in MLE. In any event, I wouldn't bother shlepping. They'll have what you need at resort, and you don't want to waste valuable seaplane weight lugging things you won't need.

Checking out of Conrad today... Place is incredible... Was upgraded to premier water villa for last two nights... Hope to put a TR together from our time in VCE and MLE (famous first words)... Tremendous hakaras hatov to the entire DDF family for everyone's insights in helping make this trip a reality...

Looking forward to our final leg on EY F...

Wow, amazing!  Did they upgrade you to the villa that is just one step down from the Sunset villas?  Did you pay for an OWV and then they just bumped you higher?  We're leaving now in about a month and I'm starting to also really get excited for the trip.  Even if you don't do a full TR if you have any tips or advice they would be greatly appreciated.

Are you nervous about the weather this time of year?

I hear what you're saying.. The water is warm from what I saw.. Prefer my own rather than from someone else.
Its going to cost me a pretty penny this overweight from what I can see  ::) :o

I am a little bit but the winter is busy season for my work and since we were able to make all the other flights, babysitting and other stuff work out I'd rather chance the weather and still make the trip.

Before we left the weather said it was supposed to rain everyday besides for one. Well when we arrived it poured for an hr and that was the last of rain we saw throughout the days. It rained during the night at times but that didn't bother us. The weather is very unpredictable in the Maldives and whatever the weather report says doesn't really mean anything.

Yes - Premier I believe is a step or two below Sunset.  By the time I got around to booking, paid upgrades were not available but was assured that they would find me something.  Hoped that Diamond status counted for something (officially it doesn't but it certainly didn't hurt me).  Stayed in newly renovated beach villa for 3 nights, and Premier for last two.

Separately, could be that we had one of the first (if not the first) MLE/Conrad DO with eli5757 as we overlapped a few nights and shared drinks at the Gold/Diamond happy hour...

Don't know, but each room has two adapters.

Wow, awesome that you had such a great trip, got to meet up and I hope you know what a sick upgrade you got.  Assuming we're talking about the same Premier Villas, I think they only have two and they usually cost about a thousand bucks a night as an upgrade!

IINM you can't bring children to an OWB
Both the Conrad and the PH allow children in OWB, after signing a waiver.

Yes I know this post was about 3 years ago, but being I was under the impression as well that children are not allowed in OWB (I believe Dan once posted as well that its not allowed) and I just confirmed otherwise, I figured Ill post now for anyone else looking into it.

Seeing reports that points availability in st regis has been pulled, possibly even C&P. Have not confirmed firsthand though.
