That's true. But I generally go to exotic locales to relax and do a couple of activities. Being confined to such a small area made me claustrophobic though I could see others feeling differently

Seems smaller than most but I could be wrong. I've been to MLE/BOB/SEZ and some other exotic islands and the only one I really couldn't last more than 3-4 days at was the Maldives

I was also really worried about that and still think I would feel that way if I didn't have the two islands, bridge across, more space, etc.  Just curious, where did you stay?

I was also really worried about not being able to supplement my food 6 days but that ended up being better than I thought as well.  I think even at the Conrad I would make sure that chef was going to be there on any future trip dates because the hot omelets at breakfast and other food really added to the trip.

Four Seasons. They often have Buy one night get one free so ends up being $700 a night for 4 nights

Sri Lankan starting the first international flights to GAN. Possibly opens up some options for some other resorts without ridiculously expensive transfers.

Yep , just checked BA - For ex. Dec 19 (one way):

Economy 7500 Avios + $94
Business 15,000 + $94

Although the flight isn't all that expensive - $248 RT in economy and $583 in business. Flight is less than 2 hours each way.

It's a five minute boat ride away from Shangri-Las Villingili Resort & Spa, Maldives which had very attractive pricing and fourth night free promotions through AMEX FHR at the time we went last year.

Are the flight rates and routes in the wiki current? Which ones do I have the best shot in finding availability for end of Jan?

Also does anyone know if one can fly JFK-MLE via AUH / DOH / DXB on corresponding carriers with Israeli passport?
