So after you've been to MLE, and BOB... what is the next place to go? I mean can they be topped? or at least someplace as nice?
Other resorts in MLE or BOB? Have you done all of the HI islands? ROR?
What exactly are you looking for...
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

We've done Kauai and Oahu but was mostly bad weather both times we were there so no desire to go back...

In both Tahiti and Maldives, we've stayed in OWB for $ for around $500/night.  I'm open to trying other resorts but want to try new places as well. What we are looking for is mostly the same type of beach/water/privacy found in the Maldives for that price range, plus the option to get there in J/F on points

Boracay is kinda a Miami Beach Philipino version unless your into beach parties, I highly recommend Palwan, CEB Kawassan falls, swim with the whale sharks and if you have more time hop over to Bohol.

Any recent experiences regarding bringing your own food at the St Regis?
Are they accommodating regarding warming up food?

Any other tips or nuggets?

They were very accommodating when I was there in late December and can’t imagine them suddenly stopping servicing our “dietary restrictions”. Ask for Nasyb as your butler

Doubt anyone will know the “real situation” but each hotel is its own island and some hotels put out mosquito repellant every morning/night. Whilst I was there I didn’t see one mosquito but you could also bring repellant bands and deet hope for the best.

They do that all over their two islands, i had a long shmmoze with the guy in charge of the team (yes there is a team there that sprays twice a day). They know just as well as we do that if there is a reported case of zika on a resort that will kill business.

FYI - there is one evening a week (dont recall offhand which one, maybe Tuesday i can check my notes) that you can hang out with the people in charge of the resort and ask them any questions you have, quite cool actually.

Conrad Maldives has a max of 3 ppl for OWV. Do they ask for passports of guests? We want to go with a 4 yo and a just-turned 2 yo. They only count guests from 2 yo I believe.

I wouldn't choose an OWB with young kids.

Coming from Israel it's 12 hours to MLE, so not too bad.

I wouldn't choose an OWB with young kids.

I'm thinking I'll start off in an OWV, and if it's too stressful, move to a beach villa. Probably would switch in the middle anyways because 7 days in an OWV would probably make us stir crazy. While in the OWV we'd probably be by the beach half the day anyways. But I have 380k HH and and 2 weekend certs to use, so everything seems to be lined up for this trip.

I confess that I've only read back to December 2017, but I didn't find any information in this thread on the schedule of flights into MLE via SQ and CX. From what I can tell on Google Flights, SQ and CX nonstop flights from SIN and HKG arrive at MLE in the evening.  That would mean over-nighting in MLE, as the seaplanes only fly in daylight?

Please advise.
