Help!
Hilton messed up.
I had a reservation for 4 nights for a water villa at the Conrad for 95,000 points each. I thought I had the 5th night for free. When I called to confirm and double check about the 5th night, they said that it is not in the reservation and not available. After I complained and asked for the reservation specialist, she let me be on hold for half hour after which my phone got disconnected.
When I called again 2 days later I was told that they will change the reservation and add the 5th night. This was last week.
When I just now looked at the new email from last week I see that they downgraded me to a beach villa. HELP!!!!

I called them and spoke to a reservations specialist and she said that there is nothing they can do since that room is not available anymore. I pleaded for half hour and nothing doing. I told her that she can listen to all phone recordings and she will see that I was never told that they will downgrade the room in order to receive the 5th night free. Hilton needs to take responsibility for cheating me out of this room..

She said she will send an email to the Hotel. So now I wait and see. We all know the outcome of this. There are no rooms. She will not upgrade to better Water Villas wich are available. I'm a gold member.

What can I do?
Any advice?

Please help...

Thank you,

With enough time and persistence, the downgrade can be rectified.

Seems the 5th night bungle is on you...

Best is for you to contact reservations at the Conrad. They have the power do open up availability and modify any reservation

Thank you.
You mean to contact the Hotel directly or Conrad reservations?

Does it matter? Try both, with enough HUCA it should eventually be rectified.

Pretty sure AJK meant the hotel directly, as they have the power to make the unavailable available. Reg reservations cannot do that

Officially? Probably not. But what's to stop you from doing it anyway?

Practically, the weight and inconvenience of bringing the grill/charcoal may be an issue, though.

Get a George Forman. Make sure the voltage is correct. Maybe buy from Amazon in Europe. Or buy on your way in Asia. Also get an adapter so that you will be able to plug it in.

George Foreman ≠ charcoal grill. Not even close.

They dont allow any fires on the OWV. Its officially a fire free.... [per the butler]. If you'll do it on the porch it's pretty hard to conceal.

I cooked with a burner and sandwich maker and  left the door slightly open  during the cooking  so the smoke can escape. There are smoke detectors in the units.

All their outlets are 220V, even though you can plug in your US outlet it's still 220V, except one outlet in the bathroom wich runs 110V. Make sure your appliance is compatible with 220V, if not it'll most likely blow up.

I bought Israeli applinces with adaptors.

There are outlets behind the counter in the bar but make sure the switch is turned on.

If your staying for shabbos ask them to contact engineering to remove a small magnetic strip on the fridge so it would not activate upon opening.

Dont leave your bungalow late at night there is a sensor wich activates the outdoor lighting after a certain time [past 10 I believe, but not exactly sure]

I wouldn't let the butler in while cooking. The cleaning service is no issue, they dont chap a eisek. So if your worried just the Do Not Disturb sign on the door.

I had a tasty cholent on shabbos!!!

Always praying for delayed baggage.

Pretty cool grill...
It is. Not super light, but not too heavy. Fits anywhere. And pretty cheap. Problem is I love my Weber chimney, hate BBQing without it. And that thing is very bulky.

Though if they might give me problems, I'll probably just bring takeout instead

IINM you can buy a converter to use 110 appliances with a 220 outlet. The adapters just change which prongs you use, but an adapter should solve both problems.
Memories last forever, make them while you can.

I live in Israel, I know how this stuff works. But I'll probably just bring prepared food

Just go for it and don't ask. Worst case you'll find another place to grill.
Better to ask for forgiveness then to ask for permission

Would a 10:15am flight out of MLE be a problem to make?
I just found a new supply of forks!
