Has anyone been to both Conrad and WA? hwo does it compare? especially in terms of privacy for OVW or reef

Look up thread @Dan pointed out on the map whats best at the St. regis (ill try to find it and link it). and please elaborate on what you mean by smartest.

best time flight route wise and safest, and either cash or points, like if you know of some way to get business class....

You can get J if its available usually

You can stay at STR or the new JW in an Overwater Villa most of which are quite private. At STR the Sunset villas are very private.

Regarding routing, I found Emirates via Dubai to have the best schedule and easiest redemption for J via Alaska with lots of availability.

Read Flyertalk, availability on QR is very scarce even when attempting to book 330 days out. And lots of phantom availability too. Gave up on QR after too many failed attempts.

I redeemed last year QR from MLE-DOH-JNB with AA @ 55k. Availability matched BA.

Don’t forget about the Westin which is brand new so imho better than the jw which is just a mostly redone old resort. There’s also a brand new intercontinental which has lots of availability for owb for 100k

While this might not be everyone’s cup of tea, you can fly delta JFK-BOM direct, have a night stopover in BOM (maybe get some food from Chabad delivered) and then BOM-MLE the next morning. Low category points hotels in India and service is great while it will give you a chance to recover. On the way back you can have a 6 hour stopover in BOM. I would suggest go to the city taxis are super cheap go to the Taj Mahal hotel, get some Indian/Mumbai vibe for a few hours (more then that might not be bearable for some lol) get some food at Chabad and head back. [do check traffic though! The airport to Colaba area where Chabad and Taj Mahal is can take 2-3 hours at peak traffic time but much much less at night]

A lot has changed with QR availability since last year. You can check BA, AA, and QF as well. It's very dry if not non existent for J.

The new Intercontinental is nice but it can't be booked with Marriott which OP was looking to do.
