What's the temp in the ocean?
Warm.

I would love privacy but what does that have to do with me wanting a private pool? I just wanna be able to go from the ocean into the cool pool!

90% privacy is fine  ;)

And IIRC I read up thread that the the pools is the OWB at Halaveli are really private.
Anyone swimming/snorkeling in the ocean by your room can see your pool, not sure how they can be "really private" like a walled in pool villa.

I agree the pool is really nice, perhaps it's worth an extra $150 per night, but more than that seems hard to justify to me.  Especially because the pools are very small, not something you can swim in like the one at LMKL.  If the PH is more than $150/night cheaper than other options then it's worth considering IMHO.

If you are in the pool and someone swims in the water, he cant really see much, maybe your head if you are at the edge

12.5k + $150 + $350 +1 taxes and fees will be about $780. Just $100 cheaper than Halaveli.

How much is the total with all taxes for both?

But what about the video cameras ;)

And will you always be underneath the water and not walking to the pool?

The chance that someone will pass by or look out of window and see her is a problem. For a men, it makes a diffrence as he will not see other girls. I doubt you will find a rabbi that allows it for a wife. Do whatever you want, but dont fool yourself that its mutar.

I would think that a camera is a problem as well. Its for sure not znius for a wife to be undressed were someone can see her, even if its only on a digital screen.

Not sure if there is Mehadrin food but I've heard that there are video cameras at every pool

I still stand by my statement. Find me a rabbi that allows a wife to go in a swim suit were other people might see here... or security cameras are around...
As I said, do what you want, I dont care, but dont convince yourself its beheter

You're proving my point.
If someone wants real privacy it needs to be in the LMKL pool villa, not an OWB.

You're proving my point.
If someone wants real privacy it needs to be in the LMKL pool villa, not an OWB.

That's not the point of this whole discussion. The issue being discussed here is not one of "total privacy" from a tzniyus perspective. At that point, once you're in an OWB, the "tzniyus" issue is what it is, regardless of whether you have a pool or you're going straight into the ocean - once a woman has decided to go out onto the deck of the OWB in a bathing suit, the halachic threshold (if any) has already been crossed, pool or no pool. Rather, the only purpose of our discussion here in this thread is: if one's personal standards are, indeed, that they are comfortable heading out into the water, what benefit does a pool add more than the ocean itself (if any) that one should feel that it's worth having one? And for that, you have the reasons that I (and others) gave.

Note that when I refer to the "privacy" of your plunge pool as an advantage, I'm not talking about the halachic aspect of it - as previously mentioned, whether it's okay or not will be just as problematic for your pool or the ocean. But let's say one DOES feel comfortable with that, we move onto the next step... does the quasi-privacy of the pool enhance your enjoyment of the OWB, even if the pool is not 100% sealed off like the LMKL? I think the answer is a resounding yes. Even if it doesn't help for tzniyus, it most certainly helps from a romance/seclusion perspective.

And the point of my original statement was that ilherman shouldn't get in his mind that having a pool on an OWB will give total privacy like a pool villa will at other hotels.  Seemed like it was something worth mentioning. Nothing more, nothing less.

4 nights all included.
Halaveli $3,598
PH around (12.5k + $150 + $350 +$100 for the taxes and fees will be about $780.) $3,120
