The motions are very easy once you get the hang of it. I got a ton of info from crackberry.com before and after I got my Z10.
If you have any questions feel free to ask, I might be able to help.
+1

Crackberry has a lot of very informative info.

I learned a lot there

I have the Z, the software runs the same except for the keyboard, as far as I know.

If you install the leaked 10.1 OS You will notice a major improvement in the software

I did it

I have the Verizon Z10.

I first installed the 10.0.10.XXXX, then 10.1.0.1429, then the 10.1.0.1483, an now currently running 10.1.0.1627

This last .1627 us for sure the most stable, and a lot of noticeable upgrades. Only issue I currently have is my Microsoft Exchange account isn't working. I happen to think its an issue becasue I installed a leak that actually wasn't even meant for my Verizon Blackberry. A big upgrade in this leak is that Whatsapp is fully integrated in the Hub

Installing leaks is very easy, all you have to do is backup your Blackberry with Blackberry Link.

Then to install the link its an autoloader file, Just have your Blackberry plugged into your computer and open the autoloader file, it will install the leak without you having to do anything else.

After its installed and your phone is set up, then you could restore with the backup you created. (Note that you could downgrade, but you cant restore a backup from a newer OS on an older one)

The whole process takes 15-30 minutes depending on the file size of your backup/restore. (if you have loads of pix and videos saved on your phone it could take a lot loader)

Also sideloaed apps dont get backed up, so you will have to re-sideload them

I used to do this with every BB I had (9930, 9630, 9550, 9530), I was debating if its worth it to do it on this BB.

For sure worth it.

I have seen a boost in performance in every leak. Also if you side-loaded apps (or even some apps that are in the App World that are Android ports) the runtime has been updated (or so it seems) and the apps run much smoother.

I'm getting this from Crackberry.

I actually downgraded to .1428 before I upgraded, cuz the .1428 is meant for the -4 Blackberry. The .1627 was not meant for the Verizon -4 Blackberry

I am currenty running now .1720 I dont really see any differences yet
