Really good article! Great line "It's a device anyone else would be giving away for free with a two-year contract..."

http://money.cnn.com/2013/03/20/technology/mobile/blackberry-z10-review/index.html?hpt=hp_c3
Its really hard to take any of these reviews at face value.  Every critic has their OS that they prefer.  Ive seen the iphones get bad reviews, galaxy s4 right now has very mixed reviews and of course the BB 10 phones will have bad reviews.  I am not saying that this article is wrong just that I wont trust any of these reviews until I try the phone myself. And I'm not denying that my own opinion will be colored towards BB.
The thing to feel good about for BB is that this is the first step in the right direction in 2 years.  This might not be the game changer (I'm 100% sure it isn't) but I see a lot of good things about the OS and where they can take it

It may be the writers personal opinion, but he makes a very strong point which is that the "new" blackberry is way behind the similar phones (iPhone & Android) its competing with. From a hardware standpoint - it was outdated before it was even released.  The only thing BB has in this favor is that its users have such low expectations out of the phone and have been abused for so long by RIM that it may not bother them. How do you compare the BB OS to the iphone or android! It's so severely limited.

People also saw great things about WebOS...though I guess they didn't have BBM.

You know a lot more about computers than I do but from what I understand this is just not true.  The author claims that the "brains" of the z10 are a generation behind.  Meanwhile, its the same (or as close to it as possible) processor as the lumia 920, rzr hd, and htc one x and pretty similar specs to iphone 5 if not slightly better.  He claims that the display is good but that all other smartphones have retina display or pixel dense displays.  The z10 has a higher ppi  than the iphone 5 and comparable displays to most smartphones.

Honestly all I really want from the BB is a decent browser, good keyboard and NO FREEZING! I don't need most of the "cool" features, I just want a good solid dependable business phone.

And from what I have heard those are the strengths of the new phone. We have to see about the freezing but I havent heard anything about that from the countries that already have it

I'm disappointed in the casing. For some reason the iPhone can feel like a titanium jewel and although the bb10 is beautiful from the front, they always insist on these cheapy flexible back covers that really take it down a few steps IMO.

It's heavier than the iphone 5 although the fact that its significantly bigger makes it seem the same weight.

When placing a call it informed me that my desk phone was forwarding the call; that does seem to toe the privacy line.

Ok. After testing the phone out for several days I'm going right back to my iPhone. If you are thinking of switching from the iphone to the blackberry I recommend that you don't.

I guess u didn't really take full adavantage of the bb10 and didn't read the forums like crackberry.com ect. which point out that bb10 browser is faster then the iphone 5 and is also safer.... the keyboard is 10 times better and it self learning meaning it learns your typing and will start suggesting this words... it much better in my opnion after having used both for over a month... yes u need to give it time to get used to it

Besides the browser being faster, opening apps are also faster.

I saw on youtube video comparisons
