Can anyone advise on Marriott Hotels in SD area? Im going with wife and 2 kids (2 yo and 1yo) last week of Aug for 5-7 days. I currently have a 5 night stay at a Marriott cat 1-5 and I will like to use it even if it mean I need to upgrade to a higher cat. Any kid friendly hotel/resort which I can book?

I've found that Saran wrapping containers twice is the best way to use microwaves.

I called they do have a 2br suite- but I can't book it with my 5 night certificate unless I upgrade 10k points per night 50k total. Is the upgrade worth it? Or should I just hope they upgrade me anyways as a gold member?

Isn't that a Cat 6? Did you use extra points for the upgrade?

We stayed at the PH Mission Bay. Although it might be a bit aged already, but the close proximity to SeaWorld (about 20 minute walk) & the beautiful views are really nice. (Didn't hurt that we were upgraded to the penthouse  ;))

Currently at the Fairmont del Mar, it's really great (and I'm pretty picky with hotels).  Haven't seen any mention of it, also the suite upgrade from the cc is really great huge suite with kitchen (fridge and microwave only).

Park Hyatt?!?
 You mean Hyatt Regency.

the hyatt regency has a water taxi shuttle (boat) behind the hotel that takes you to seaworld.
plus there are no lines and you can just enter the park right when they open and there are no lines at all.

make sure to have tickets before you take the shuttle
