New restaurant! - https://www.harissasd.com/

This was great, thanks for sharing! Delicious falafel and shwarma.

Ralph's food counter didn't look particularly exciting and boy do those employees have a sour attitude.

Kayaking at the La Jolla sea caves was very cool!

Andaz was fine (redeemed using anniversary night), but the homeless situation there is out of control. It was nice to walk to Petco, but the area is sketchy.

Petco is a great ballpark. Love how they incorporated the Western Metal building. Great beer selection too.

Looks like some new restaurants have opened and are opening soon  HaMitbach (The Kitchen) 2 locations? AND  La Mesa Pizza Works(opening soon)
If these places stick SD would be an incredible destination for the kosher tourist!

I tried calling the one that's open but they didn't answer. Could be that they are open. I just did not want to wait for them to cook so I ordered online at harissa

Heading to LaJolla for 3.5 days in a few weeks with my wife. Does anybody have activity ideas? Food ideas? Any other tips? Open to all ideas.
I think the zoo is a must. I see there's the zoo and the safari. Which one is better?
What else?

Zoo/Safari, SeaWorld, Sea Cave Kayaking.
Could be worth buying a GoCity pass.

Harissa is pretty good. Ralphs La Jolla has a huge kosher section and counter. Not sure about the newer places.
Parisien Gourmandises if you eat C"S.

For two adults, which would you recommend more, the zoo or safari?

With 3.5 days I'd imagine there's time for both?

Disclaimer: I was never there.

I researched as one of our possible vacation plans, it didn't pan out due to logistics.

There are Segway tours along the coast, as well as a whale watching also.
