I live in San Diego.

La Cafe - Chalav Yisrael
6104 Regents Rd, San Diego, CA 92122
(858)202-0097
very good

Ralphs in La Jolla - they have a kosher deli - - you can get sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers, etc., and there is a little eating area at the front of the store with a washing station.  There are also many kosher breads, etc.
Also a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in the store - dairy (not chalev yisrael), and Golden Spoon - also kosher not chalev yisrael.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

So the deli area at Ralph's is still open? Someone told me last week it was closed when they went down.

Yes - for sure open was just there this morning.  They are closed at night (maybe 6?) so if I was a traveler I would call first to make sure I know what hours they are open.

we spent time in san diego last summer.  liked it so much that we are planning on going again this summer.  Kosher deli in Ralph's was excellent - especially the fried chicken.  One of my kids went paragliding at the Torrey Pines gliderport - that was amazing.  We also went snorkeling in La Jolla Cove and biking in coronado.  Took the kids boating in the lagoon about 10 min north of the PH Aviara (we didn't drive the boat - they drive it for you) we wanted a quieter place to go boating - the kids took turns riding on some tube contraption that they attached to the boat.  Everything was really enjoyable.    We stayed one night at the PH Aviara - they were very nice to us - gave us new silverware to go along with the fresh fruit they gave us for breakfast.  Let me know if you work out a more substantial breakfast with them as we will iy"h stay one night again this summer.

was @ the deli a few days ago.....it is UNBELIEVABLE....great pastrami burgers and fries (only $6.49!!) they have a whole display with various salads, sushi, roast chicken and meat....a place to sit and eat.....HUGE kosher section with products and is only 10 minutes from Seaworld...a place that must be on your itinerary!

its RCC and Vaad Rabbanim of SD certified

I guess it depends for who. I was at SeaWorld and i had a blast! The "pets-rule" show was my favorite by far, where the dogs kind of have like an obstacle course to go through - really cool.

New restaurant in San diego!!
« Reply #74 on: June 26, 2011, 04:15:03 AM »
I just wanted to let everyone know that there is a new kosher restaurant opening up in San Diego on wednesday June 29th. I know there are a lot of tourists from the East Coast who are visiting and touring San Diego, if you know of anyone please let them know! It is a fleishig grill, serving things such as hamburgers, shnitzel, wraps, and salads. The menu prices varies between $4 for a hot dog, to $21 for a steak. The restaurant is gonna be taking place in the Beth Jacob congregation patio every night/ sunday through thursday from 5 p.m to 9 p.m. The adress is 4855 college ave. 92115. Please tell everybody you know who is coming to San Diego about this new restaurant!! Unfortunately the old restaurant "The Place" had a fire over shavuous, so this really is the only place for fleishigs near Beth Jacob. Thank you!!

Is there a part in SD that is central to the kosher restaurants and attractions?
