Good news for the San Diego area residents and visitors who lost the Grille Restaurant a couple of months ago. Owner Benny Behar will be doing "The Summer Grille" at Beth Jacob Congregation starting this Sunday, Father's Day, June 21 through August 28th. Perhaps with an overwhelming response, Benny will stay open. Hours: 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm Last seating 8:30 pm. It will be a very simple menu. Steaks, Gourmet Burgers, Hot Dogs, Chicken Sandwiches, Salad Bar & Kids menu. Located at 4855 College Ave, San Diego, CA 92115
Usually gotta resrve seats real early or else you gotta wait like 2 hours to get seated. Just a heads up

Like a few days in advance? Or can you call and say I want to come in 2 hours? Going to be relevant for me soon...

The Sheraton mission valley was a great points option for 7000 spg points a night. It was very nice and new and is in a very decent location.

I stayed at Sheraton La Jolla a few years ago. Decent place. Good area. Walkable to the Shul (albeit up a big hill). 10k/night.

I was not impressed with my suite at the Hyatt regency mission Bay. Never stayed at the Andaz though.

Whatever you do, stay away from the residence inn la jolla. Its tempting @ 25,000 a night, but its a horrible hotel with terrible customer service. I have stayed at the us grant, its a SPG property @ 12k a night. I can highly recommend it.

Tnx but I don't get such a good redemption rate at the Grant.

Any tips for getting cheap safari tickets... The most seems to be 5 or 6 dollars off admission. The gate price is $48!
