Will be in San Diego week of August 2nd. Staying in Hyatt House Sorrento Mesa. Latest weekday Shachris I found was Chabad of University City at 7:30 AM which is only like 12 minute drive.  Please advise if anyone knows later/better option.  Thanks

Researching Lego Land and it seems like there is a water park and aquarium that have separate admissions to get it.

Is the water park or aquarium worth visiting? Do I need more than one day if we plan on going to the main park plus the water park and/or aquarium?

In the Hyatt Regency La Jolla and I must say it's gorgeous, especially the hotel grounds and amenities.

Is there anywhere to go for dinner? Just the BBQs in the shul and Chabad house?

I went to a nice place a few years ago but it seems it's closed now.. that true?

The BBQ place in the shul  (The Grille) was actually very good but it's definitely not fine dining. There is also The Place in the JCC in La Jolla (4126 Executive Drive).

+1
Just ate at the grille last week. Was very happy with both the quality and the taste of the food. Simple food, but very tasty.

Never been to the water park or the aquarium. Legoland by itself is deffinetly a full day. I was there with 2 kids almost from opening to close. We had some version of a fast pass, and we covered about 90% of the park.

Looking at the Legoland map to compare the size of the park to the Florida Legoland and it looks like the "water park" is a side section to the main park. Doesn't look like a full water park. On the map it is called "water park" & "Chima water park". Did you go to those parts?

Did you buy the fast pass tickets at the park or in advance of you trip?

Went to the Grille, food was great, portions a little small though. But good experience.

I didn't feel the portions were small at all- we got the burgers with toppings and fries and shared salad from salad bar, but honestly, didn't really think we needed the salad. Just tried to be healthier!

I got the steak with french fries and salad bar. Steak was phenomenal, fries were good but not a lot.

Wife got grilled chicken platter with veggies, pretty small portion.

No I didn't do the water park part. I actually got them for free at the park. Long story, not for now.

I agree, I actually tried all their burgers. Although more expensive than what I usually pay, portion size was very decent.
