And they aren't cheap
I think the prices are on par with the Hyatt regency and the Hilton, just you don't have points or free night certificates

Had the same question, I ultimately went with the Hyatt regency.

The Hyatt has nicer grounds ( veiw from my room )


The Hilton has better water sports including this ( it's cute )

Once again make sure that you stay in the tower as the other rooms are pretty old. ( They told me that they will be renovating them )

I didn't know that Southwest now runs seasonal nonstop flights SAN-EWR!  see sample itinerary below.
