I stay in the Lamplighter inn Best Western to get to Beth Jacob. They are great and already know all the shabbos rules. Very friendly!

What are the best Starwoods hotels near the main shuls?

I will be going to San Diego next week and bought the 3 day San Diego Go Card from Costco. Cost was around $150 and included access to Seaworld, Knotts Berry Farm, Legoland, San Diego Zoo and Safari and a lot of other cool things. I priced out the activities I wanted to do and this was by far the best value. Also, Costco had the best rates on these cards that I saw.

I have stated this many times (in this thread and others). It really is a great value. And you don't have to wait on lines for admission in most places

Never knew they sold them, good to know. (Although they do have sales sometimes on the smart destinations website that you can get a comparable price and get a cashback link)

I recently stayed at Paradise Point Resort.

It's not a Starwood property, but I got it with name your price on priceline for $80 a night. Stunning resort with beach-side rooms.

Lol!
Funny story. I had wanted to stay at the Hilton San Diego Resort and Spa because I had heard it was nice. On priceline, that area and class hotel narrowed it down to the Hilton or Paradise point. (On name your own price put in San Diego Coastal 4 star)  I put in the bid hoping for the Hilton - and by mistake got Paradise Point. I had seen some bad review about Paradise Point so I was trying to convince Priceline to cancel but they refused.

Then I found out that Paradise is a very upscale gorgeous resort! The grounds were amazing. In the end I was upgraded to a beachside suite!

Is Beth Jacob running a BBQ this summer? Is La Cafe still in business?

I didn't look into Beth Jacob.
La Cafe was great - I went there twice.

Hi, I’m going to LA for a week in the summer, just me and my wife, and will spend just one day in San Diego. We have been to Sea World recently so we won’t be going there but we definitely want to check out the San Diego Zoo. Which is the better thing to do, the zoo, or the safari? Thanks
