When I was in SD here was the only place that had a minyan 8:00 am, (call before you go, you need a pass code to get in) the other shulls were way earlier. It's about 10 minute drive from the Hyatt Regency La Jolla

I am headed to SD with spouse and two kids. (Compliments of Delta airlines :-))

What are the best places to visit and the best hotel to stay in? Should I just book the cheapest hotel on Hotwire?
The US Grant is a beautiful hotel. Though it's downtown so if you want to stay on the water it's not for you.

Yeah... That's why I posted it, I also just found out of this place the last day I was there. Getting up 6:30 on vacation is a real killer for me, it was mamesh MESIRES NEFESH to get up so early, until one of the App's routed me to this place. It's a real big place its more like a small town (you have to enter a code to get in in the area) the have a huge building for all kind of religious needs.

Which of these 2 would be recommended? I see Adath Yeshurin has next to it 2 hotels, sheraton and residence inn. And next to chabad of la jolla sinai circle there are also some hotels close by. If I can go to any of those which is recommended? Going from wed-mon

other say craigslist is the way to go.

Don't you run a risk of counterfeit tickets on craigslist?

I'm probably gonna do the lego land bogo, pay for aircraft carrier, rent bikes and the like. I think the card becomes valuable with sea world.

Definitely. Better value is at 5 days. And you can do so many things and not cheshbon each one. I did sea world twice. The zoo. A few museums on museum row. Belmont park. Ice sharing. Lego Land.

Just got back from san diego. Stayed in hilton in mission valley. nice place, booked on priceline for cheap. across the street from shopping center including target and coffee bean. went to many of the attractions. sea world is fantastic. loved the zoo, but not so much wild animal park. tijuana is not much fun, aside from the safety issues. its very sleazy and we spent a couple hours there. instead go to old town in san diego and u can buy the same stuff without the creepiness. currently theres only one restaurant (the place, fleishigs) though i hear there may be others soon. la jolla cove is cute and free.

I we are going to LA with a 2 and 3 year old would we have a better time in disneyland or going down to seaworld?

Probably the same. Depends what your kids like. Not worth the extra drive

There is a guy who constantly advertises on Craigslist San Diego for $35 tickets to Sea World and says payment is not due until it is used!!!! Sounds strange.  He says to email him or text him at 415-509-9350. I wonder if anyone ever had experience with this guy. I texted him and waiting for a response.

Two of the days of our delta sponsored trip will be spent in "Diego"... The US Grant looks awesome but the Delmar looks like heaven.

Anyone ever spend time in both and know how they compare? Is the delmar worth shelling out $400 a night for vs the 12k spg for the US Grant?
