I am going with my wife to sea world s.d. for the day and I need to stay in a hotel for 1 night in the San Diego area. I have 20K Hyatt points. It looks like there are many Hyatt hotels in the San Diego area. Any recommendations on which Hyatt to go to? Thanks

Nicer than Park Hyatt Aviara or Andaz San Diego?

I am going crazy... There are Hyatt hotels to choose from and I have no idea which one is the nicest.

Anyone really familiar with the Hyatt chain hotels in San Diego area?

now I remember (I'm tired) it's closer to the attractions I'm interested in

Do not buy Seaworld or San Diego Zoo tickets online from Ticketlion@gmail.com. You don't have to pay until you get in, but chances are you won't make it in. My ticket rang up invalid and they brought me to the customer service office. After research, they found out the tickets were placed and then canceled with fraudulent a credit card.

Are you serious Robert?! I am so sorry for recommending him and putting you through trouble. I used him for Seaworld and had no problems. I hope he didn't use a fraudulent cc for my tickets.

Nicer than Park Hyatt Aviara or Andaz San Diego?

Aviara is nicest but far away from city of San Diego
Hyatt Mission Bay is recently upgraded
Hyatt Manchester is nice and on the harbor, I believe one tower is newer than the other
Andaz is right in the middle of the "gaslamp district" -- there is no parking and it's surrounded by restaurants, clubs, and bars.

PH aviara doesn't have a suite upgrade available the nights I am there. I am on a diamond challenge. Am I better staying there without the suite upgrade or staying somewhere else in San Diego with a suite upgrade. Alternatively, I can use it for the andaz west Hollywood and stay in an spg in San Diego

I just used a suite upgrade at the PH Manchester. They gave me a conference room suite, and was very happy with it.

They actually have a small store themselves along with the restaurant.
