I added to the wiki jet skiing, its not the one in mission bay. I went to mission bay first and its really not for someone that doesnt know what theyre doing, they give you the jet ski on a trailer and you have to bring it to the water yourself (and than after bring it to a gas station to fill up). The one I ended up by a different one (in the wiki) are super friendly and they show you exactly what to do and where to go. Its really cool, its across from an army base so while you driving you see black hawks taking off and landing 250 ft away from you. Additionally, the army trains dolphins there so if you go when they are training you can see dolphins jumping in the water. (there wasnt any there when i went, it was kinda cold out). It was an absolute blast and i highly recommend it to everyone!!!

Is The Grille restaurant worth it? Or I should just go to Ralph's in La Jolla for dinner?

hum, tough question.  Depends on where you are staying and how much time you want to spend eating (sometimes it takes a long time to get your food at The Grille).

There is also the The Place at the JCC in La Jolla which is always pretty fast.

Regardless of time, who has the best kosher food in SD area? Ralph's, The place or The Grille?

I wouldn't get excited about any of the food in San Diego (compared to New York or LA) but if I had to pick one and had all the time in the world I'd pick The Grille.

I went to The Grille a couple of times and I was happy with. (It doesnt compare to NY restaurants, but very solid). Additionally, I liked the prices at the grille even more, great prices for the only restaurants in town. The place is cute, but its more of a canteen than a sit down place. (The tables are in the hallway of the JCC). Ralphs is like a takeout store... solid food as well.

there are no Sunday bbqs right now as they are transitioning between buildings
gotta make other plans for dinner

any recommendations for a family of four to eat at that is not so expensive
any info on when they will restart the sunday bbq's.
Also, what time was the bbq open?
Are they moving to a completely different location or staying at  Beth Jacob?

I'm spending two days in San Diego next week and want to maximize our experience. We NEED to do the Zoo, Sea World, and LegoLand. Is the safari worth doing if it means we have to rush something else?

Sounds like your bitting off more than you can chew. ALL 3 in 2 days!? Even without the safari you will have to rush .

I believe he/she was referring to the Chabad BBQ in Carlsbad:

Not the BBQ at Beth Jacob.

I don't think you need to do both the zoo and the safari/wild animal park. Bear in mind that a lot of people prefer the safari since it has more animals and you see them in their natural habitats. On the other hand, you can't get nearly as close to them as you can at the zoo. If you're with smaller kids, you can definitely do the zoo, skip the safari, and only be very rushed and not very very rushed.

Thanks...not traveling with kids. Our tentative thoughts are to do the zoo ans sea world one day (sea world is open until 10 and all the good shows are late) walk around La Jolla and legoland on our way back north. Thoughts?

Actually doesn't sound too bad without kids. I don't remember te zoo that well but you probably won't get through the entire place but sea world defiantly can be done in half a day.  Keep in mind that the zoo is very large and requires a lot of walking.

You could do the Zoo if you don't stop at every exhibit. as mentioned it is alot of walking. Definitely get tickets for the lift, great view and takes you all the way back across the zoo. In La Jolla definitely check out the coves. La Jolla shores (beach) is pretty cool as well. If you find more time, Artist's village and balboa park (next door to each other) are pretty neat as well.
