How is the The Grand Del Mar? Worth $550 a night? Or I'll do better by paying $270 a night for the PH Avaira and use suite upgrades?

I see some ppl going next weeks to SD.

I need place for me family (2+4) I was thinking of doing priceline for 2 rooms but what do I do if I can't get an attached room at the property I win?

As for going with hotel redemptions I never did hotel CC only SPG and the rooms seem to be 10K a night for 3 nights x2.

Hoping for the same thing this time but the guy keeps saying something about only having 2 of them since they renovated and got rid of some suites.

PH Aviara is decent, I don't think it's worthy of the PH flag though.
For C+P and a DSU it's fine.

Good question!!!!!!!!

I'm just going to SD and cant make head and toes from areas.
So when I see the discussion in the last posts here discussing hotels in that area, i'm trying to find out if thats the are to be or is it the particular properties?
